SUNDAY WORSHIP

We meet every Sunday morning from 9:30-11:00am for Worship and The Word. We sing a mix of hymns and choruses, and spend time hearing from God’s Word and seeing how it applies to our lives today. (On November 28th we begin a four week advent series on Sundays, culminating in a Christmas Eve worship and celebration service.)

ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIPS

From 11:15-12:30 each Sunday we have Adult Bible Fellowships. Adults can choose one of three elective track options:
  • The “Gospel” Track ~ Classes investigating the content and implications of the Gospel for each individual. For the fall 2010 quarter (Sept-Nov) the “Gospel” Track will be considering Greg Gilbert’s book, “What is the Gospel?” (See a descriptive video)
  • The “Community” Track ~ Classes expanding on the implications of the Gospel into relationships. (Examples of classes include Parent/Child Relationships, Peacemaking, etc.) For the fall 2010 quarter (Sept-Nov) the “Community” track will be considering Paul Tripp’s book, “Age of Opportunity”. (See a descriptive video)
  • The “Studies” Track ~ Classes which investigate a particular Bible book, passage or biblical topics in a more in-depth style. For the fall 2010 quarter the “Studies” track will continue the series of “Studies in the Minor Prophets” with “Nahum – The Fall of Ninevah”.

Class Description: “As Zephaniah was prophesying to Judah and Nahum was pronouncing God’s judgment upon Nineveh, there was Habakkuk. He was a prophet filled with troubling questions. There was an immediate difference between Habakkuk and the other minor prophets. Instead of taking the Lord’s message directly to the people, Habakkuk takes the complaint of the people directly to the Lord. He laments over the apparent rule of wickedness and violence – asking the Lord how He can justify His apparent indifference to such things. Come join us as we study the Lord’s response to Habakkuk and learn why this message is important for us living in this world today.”

WEDNESDAY FELLOWSHIP MEAL

Everyone is welcome to join us from 6:00-6:45pm for pizza from Dustin’s. The pizza and soda are free, but a donation of $.50 a piece would be appreciated to help keep this ministry self sustaining.

MID-WEEK CONNECTION GROUPS

Maybe Sunday mornings don’t work for you … or perhaps you would like another time for getting to know some people from our church and the surrounding communities. If that’s the case, one of our Connection Groups might just be perfect. These groups meet in members’ homes and at the church, Wednesday through Saturday each week from 7:00-8:30pm.

Wednesdays on Orchard Street in Holley
Thursdays on Phillips Road in Murray
Fridays at the Church (Geddes Street in Holley)
Saturdays on North Manning Road in Clarendon

FIRST FRIDAY FLICKS?

We are considering using our facilities to show movies on Friday nights. Admission would be free, and concessions likely will be sold at cost. Some nights may be adults (aka “Date Nights), while others would be family appropriate.

We currently view videos on occasion through our projection system. We are considering the purchase of a larger screen and a higher quality projector, while we feed the sound through our sound system amplifiers.
