Pastor John Baker and his wife Brenda both grew up in Hilton, NY, and were “High School Sweet-Hearts” graduating from Hilton CHS in ’82 & ’83 respectively. John grew up attending Grace Baptist Church in Brockport, NY.

Brenda graduated from Monroe Community College (MCC) with an AA in Communications. John attended the United States Naval Academy (USNA-Annapolis), receiving a BS in Systems Engineering, and accepted a commission as a 2ndLT in the USMC.

They were married on June 7th, 1986 at Grace Baptist. During their lives together they have lived in Quantico, VA, Pensacola, FL (2x), Corona, CA and Orleans County, NY.

In ’97 John left active duty and enrolled as a full time student to complete the last several months of study at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS), receiving his M.Div in ’98. They then moved back to upstate NY where John began work as a Director of Business Development & Marketing for a Rochester, NY firm.

In 2005 John left his employment and began seeking full time vocational ministry opportunities. in December of 2006 FBCH called John to be our pastor, starting Jan 01, 2007.

John and Brenda have (4) children: John IV, Anna, Elyse & William.
